Hi, I’m Jonathan, a dedicated sound professional with over five years of experience in audio post-production. My journey into the world of sound began as an Assistant Sound Editor, where I developed a strong technical foundation, learning how to manage workflows, organize sessions, and support the creative vision of senior editors. This role gave me the opportunity to understand the intricate processes involved in creating great sound.

As I progressed in my career, I took on specialized roles in Foley Editing, Dialogue Editing, and Sound Effects Editing. Each of these positions shaped my skills and deepened my passion for sound design. In Foley, I explored the art of creating realistic, tactile sounds that ground stories in authenticity and it taught me how even the smallest sounds contribute to the overall emotional impact of a project. It also gave me the opportunity to work closely with Foley artists, building a collaborative process that allowed me to explore and refine my creativity. Dialogue editing challenged me to refine performances and ensure clarity and taught me the importance of balancing technical precision with an ear for nuance, as even the smallest adjustment can make a world of difference in how a scene is perceived, while sound effects editing gave me the chance to build immersive soundscapes, from subtle atmospheres to dynamic action sequences. It also challenged me to think outside the box and taught me to approach sound as a powerful storytelling tool, capable of conveying mood, energy, and even character.

Today, I bring all of these experiences together as a Foley Supervisor and Sound Supervisor. As a Foley Supervisor, I oversee the entire process of crafting and integrating Foley sounds into a project. This includes collaborating with Foley artists, ensuring that every sound detail is meticulously captured, and balancing these elements within the broader audio mix. It is a role that demands both artistic precision and a deep understanding of how Foley interacts with other sound elements to create a cohesive auditory experience. I pride myself on ensuring that every project I oversee is rich with detail and authenticity.

As a Sound Supervisor, I take on the comprehensive responsibility of managing the entire audio workflow for a project. From pre-production planning and coordinating with directors to the final mix, I am involved in every stage of the process. This includes guiding the creative vision for the sound, managing teams of editors and mixers, and ensuring that every auditory detail aligns with the story being told. It is a challenging but deeply rewarding position that requires not only technical expertise but also strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

For me, sound is more than just a technical process—it’s a storytelling tool that connects audiences to the heart of a project. Whether I’m crafting the subtle creak of a door to build suspense or leading a team on a large-scale production, I approach every project with creativity, precision, and a commitment to excellence.
